Mr. Cadigan joined Billy Pugh Company in September 2022 as President and Chief Executive Officer. With more than 25 years of offshore contract drilling experience, he recently served as COO and then CEO of Atlantica Tender Drilling. Previously, Mr. Cadigan held several leadership roles in startup drilling companies, including Co-founder and Vice President – Administration of Prospector Offshore Drilling and Vice President – HSE for Premium Drilling. He began his career working in safety leadership roles within Noble Corporation and was instrumental in helping Billy Pugh design the X904 transfer basket back when he was the Corporate HSE Manager at Noble. Mr. Cadigan attended the Memorial University of Newfoundland and received a Bachelor of Commerce in majoring Accounting and Economics.
Matthew Austin’s leadership in sales and marketing is built on a foundation of more than a decade of hands-on oilfield experience. He began his career in 2014 as a roustabout with Atwood Oceanics, learning the business from the rig floor up.
His journey took him from offshore platforms to land rigs across the country, progressing through drilling operations and into key roles as an HSE Advisor and Performance Engineer. This deep operational background gives him a unique ability to understand our customers’ most complex challenges.
Today, Matthew leverages that firsthand knowledge to provide more than just products, he develops innovative, practical solutions that deliver real-world results. He is passionate about partnering with clients to enhance their safety, performance, and efficiency.
